The /tnick command can be used to change own IRC nickname without changing the main or alternative nick (/anick) options.

Synopsis

/tnick <newName>

Switches

Parameters

  • <newName> - The temporary nickname.

Example

alias away {
  ; change nick
  tnick $me $+ |away
  !away
}
