Lucienne is the codename of AMD's Ryzen 5000 series of mobile APUs based on the Zen 2 CPU and Vega GPU microarchitectures, fabricated on a TSMC 7 nm process. These processors appear to be a revision of the Ryzen 4000 "Renoir" mobile and desktop APUs launched a year earlier which also feature eight Zen 2 CPU cores and eight Vega CUs on a monolithic 7 nm die.
"Lucienne" processors must be distinguished from Ryzen 5000 "Cezanne" mobile and desktop APUs, and Ryzen 5000 "Vermeer" desktop processors without integrated graphics, both implementing the Zen 3 microarchitecture.
The Ryzen 5000 series was unveiled by AMD CEO Lisa Su in a January 12, 2021 keynote for CES 2021. Commentators speculated that "Lucienne" refers to French painter Lucienne Bisson, daughter of Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
Ryzen 5000 "Lucienne" processors identify as members of AMD CPU Family 17h, Model 68h. ("Renoir" processors as Model 60h.)
Overview[edit]
"Lucienne" is a SoC for the mobile segment based on the Zen 2 microarchitecture and integrates a Radeon Vega GPU. Like its predecessor "Renoir" it is available in the FP6 BGA package.
Common Features[edit]
All "Lucienne" processors have the following features:
- 4 to 8 Zen 2 x86 CPU cores, all SKUs with 2-way SMT
- 4,096-entry Op cache, 2 × 32 KiB L1, and 512 KiB L2 cache per core
- 4 or 8 MiB shared L3 cache
- PCIe Gen 3 (8 GT/s)
- Radeon Vega 8/7/6 (Vega) GPU
- TDP 15 W, configurable 10 to 25 W
