Socket AM1, also known as Socket FS1b, was the socket for OPGA-721-packaged AMD desktop microprocessors with an integrated north bridge, graphics processor, and controller hub targeting the value segment. Its counterpart for mobile and embedded processors is the FT3 package.
All processors for Socket AM1, codename "Kabini", are members of AMD's Family 16h with CPU cores based on the Jaguar microarchitecture, and were fabricated on a 28 nm SOI process.
Socket AM1 has the same dimensions as Socket FS1 and Socket FS1r2 for mobile Family 12h and 15h processors, but processors for those sockets are mechanically, due to keying, and likely electrically incompatible with Socket AM1 and vice versa.
