MSM5500 (Mobile Station Modem 5500) was a family of 32-bit ARM mobile system on chips with CDMA2000 capabilities designed by Qualcomm and introduced in 2001. This family was Qualcomm's first chipset to support 1xEV (Evolution-Data Optimized) technology.
