zSeries 900 (z900) was a family of 64-bit z/Architecture multi-core microprocessor multi-chip modules introduced by IBM in late 2000. Those processors are found in the IBM zSeries 900 2064 mainframe servers.

Overview[edit]

Based on IBM's new z900 microarchitecture and implementing the new z/Architecture ISA, the new processors replaced the aging ESA/390 systems.
