Announced in December of 2016, Centriq is Qualcomm's first family of processors directly targeting the server market. Sampling for their flagship model, a 48-core chip started shipping the same month with general availability starting from November 2017. The first generation of Centriq models are based on Qualcomm's custom designed Falkor, an ARMv8-compatible microarchitecture fabricated on Samsung's 10 nm process.
