Aizu Fujitsu Semiconductor (AFSL) is a Japanese pure-play foundry, wholly-owned subsidiary of Fujitsu.
Overview[edit]
AFSL spun-off from Fujitsu as an independent wholly-owned subsidiary. AFSL manages two subsidiaries - Aizu Fujitsu Semiconductor Wafer (AFSW) and Aizu Fujitsu Semiconductor Manufacturing (AFSM). AFSL operates on 150 mm (AFSW) and 200 mm (AFSM) wafers. In April 2018, ON Semiconductor increased its stake in AFSM to 40% with plans to acquire 100% of AFSM by 2020.
