Succession

OCean Cove is the successor to Golden Cove, a high-performance 10 nm or 7 nm x86 core microarchitecture designed by Intel for an array of server and client products.

History

Intel unintentionally confirmed Ocean Cove development during a series of job postings in early 2018. Ocean Cove will likely succeed Golden Cove around the 2022-23 timeframe.

Process Technology

Though not confirmed, Ocean Cove will be fabricated on either Intel's 10 nm process or 7 nm process.
