Xeon E is a family of 64-bit multi-core x86 entry-level servers and workstation microprocessors.

Overview[edit]

The Xeon E family primarily targets the entry-level workstations and server market. Intel positions the Xeon E family above the mainstream desktop parts (e.g., Core i7, i5/i3) and a notch below the professional-level Xeon W processors which are based on the server parts. For the most part, all Xeon E comes with all the available features that are present on the client die such as vPro and ECC memory.

Coffee Lake-based Xeon Es were introduced in early 2018. This was the first series of processors that are part of the Xeon E series and effectively superceed the previous Xeon E3 v6 series based on Kaby Lake DT.
