Launched in mid-2016 Xeon E5 V4 models are based on the Broadwell microarchitecture and are manufactured on Intel's 14 nm process. This series is composed of anywhere from 4 up to 22 cores configured in two rings with two bridges between them. Each ring passes data in opposite direction (i.e. one clockwise and the other counter-clockwise) in order to allow shortest path opportunities.
