Overview
Announced in December of 2016, Centriq is Qualcomm's first family of processors directly targeting the server market. Sampling for their flagship model, a 48-core chip started shipping the same month with volume production set to begin in the second quarter of 2017. The first generation of Centriq models are based on Qualcomm's custom designed Falkor, an ARMv8-compatible microarchitecture fabricated on a 10 nm process.
