Phenom X3 was a family of 64-bit x86 tri-core budget microprocessors designed by AMD and introduced in 2008. Phenom X3, which succeeded Athlon 64 X2, offered three cores and incorporated all of AMD's advance technologies up to and including SSE4a, as well as Virtualization, and HyperTransport support.
