Core i9 is a family of high-performance and high core count 64-bit x86 microprocessors introduced by Intel in mid-2017. This family targets the high-performance and enthusiasts desktop and mobile markets.

Overview[edit]

The Core i9 family was announced during Computex 2017. The new family of processors is positioned above the Core i7 family and offers a significant increase in core and thread count at a premium price. In late 2018, Intel expanded the family into mainstream desktop and mobile processors.
