El Capitan (ATS-4) is the successor to Sierra, a planned exascale supercomputer by the DoE Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (NNSA/LLNL) for 2022-2024 timeframe. El Capitan is expected to be succeeded by ATS-6 in 2027-2028 timeframe.
