Unicode
The Unicode Standard is a computing standard that provides programmers a single, consistent, universal character encoding, descriptions, and data on how characters function for most of the world's writing systems. The standard is published in conjunction with the Universal Coded Character Set, standard set of characters that the Unicode standard operates on.
