Renesas Electronics Corporation is a Japanese multinational semiconductor manufacturer, designer, and service company. The company was originally established as a joint venture between Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric (55%-45%) in 2003 and started operations in 2010 after the merger of NEC Electronics.
