A14 Bionic is a 64-bit hexa-core ARM high-performance mobile system on a chip introduced by Apple in September 2020 as a successor to the A13.

Overview[edit]

Fabricated on TSMCs new N5 EUV process, the A14 integrates 11.8 billion transistors to feature two big cores called "Firestorm" operating at up to 3.10 GHz and four little high-efficiency cores called "Icestorm" operating at up to 1.80 GHz.

Apple claims a performance gain of better speed and lower power consumption than its predecessor A13.

ISP[edit]

Neural Engine[edit]

The A14 Bionic is equipped with next-generation 16-core specialized machine learning processor called "Neural Engine". Apple claims that the A14's Neural Engine delivers 11 trillion operations per second, 80% more than its predecessor A13.
