Ambric, Inc was a fabless semiconductor company that focused on massively parallel processor array high for performance multimedia applications.
Founded in 2003, on September 2004 Ambric received $10.4 million Series A funding. In 2006 Ambric introduced the Am2000 family of processors. Following the 2008 financial crisis, Ambric failed to secure Series C funding and was subsequently acquired by Nethra Imaging in April of 2009.
