American Microsystems, Inc (AMI) or AMI Semiconductor was a semiconductor company founded in 1966. In early 2000s it was bought by Francisco Partners and subsequently renamed AMI Semiconductor. In March of 2008 it was bought by ON Semiconductor for close to $1B.
