The MARC4 was a family of 4-bit microcontrollers initially developed by Eurosil in the mid 1980s. Eurosil was later sold to Temic (TELEFUNKEN) and in 1998 was sold off to Atmel which continued to manufacture it well into the 2000s. The MARC4 targeted the ultra-power saving and wireless market.
