Interesting edit to $sslcertsha256 - but as you point out it isn't a great fit on this particular page. It is very easy to create a whole new page (or pages) - but it is a bit more complicated to add the links to the various index / Toc pages so that the new page is visible. In the Toc panel on the right there is a Security section where this would fit - perhaps under a title Encrypting your IRC connection. (And it could do with some context - why encrypt, how to know / define whether a server supports encryption, how to connect etc. Making a personal SSL certificate is one option - and a useful one.) Re change to hash-tables page:

I am unclear why you decided to replace "key" / "value" with "item" / "data". There is nothing wrong with it, however I believe that "key" is actually a better description than "item", and if so then "value" is the term traditionally associated with "key". So I would be interested to understand the rationale behind this change? Sophist (talk) 04:27, 13 June 2018 (EDT)

I assume I'm doing this right, this is the 1st time trying to use the 'usertalk' feature. I changed them to use the same terminology used in /help, to be less confusing to the readers. Nowhere in the /help page describing hash tables does the word 'key' appear, it always uses 'item' to describe it. When /help mentions 'key' elsewhere, it's either in the context of the keyboard, or is related to encryption features. Likewise, /help uses 'value' as a modifier like 'item value' or 'data value'. Also, the $hget .properties are named .item and .data not .key and .value

All great reasons. Good edit!! Sophist (talk) 13:01, 13 June 2018 (EDT)
