Gen2 (Generation 2) is the microarchitecture for Intel's graphics processing unit utilized by Intel's Extreme Graphics and Extreme Graphics 2 graphics in their 845/830 chipsets (e.g. Brookdale & Springdale). Gen2 is the successor to Gen1.
