In late 2017 Intel rebranded the {{intel|Pentium (2009)|Pentium}} as two separate families: {{intel|Pentium Gold}} and Pentium Silver. {{intel|Pentium Gold}} includes only SKUs from their [[big core]] microarchitectures while the Pentium Silver is reserved for exclusively their [[little cores]] starting with {{intel|Goldmont Plus|l=arch}}.
