Bytes per FLOP (B/F) is a ratio that represents the required number of bytes to be transferred between the execution unit of a microprocessor and the off-chip memory divided by the number of floating-point operations required for a particular task. B/F is a figure of merit used to analyze the peak performance of a system under memory-bound workloads.
